Recall Mayor Dan

Based on the existence of an outstanding mortgage to Galt House LLC (Exhibit A), registered to Daniel J Borgmeyer (Exhibit B), in the amount of approximately $555,615.00, we have reason to believe that Mayor Borgmeyer may stand to financially benefit from the construction of the Katy Trail Place multifamily dwellings (townhomes) on 1028-1038 S Main St (Exhibit C).

 

While the deed for these plots was transferred to Katy Trail Place LLC for $1 in 2023 (Exhibit D), the usage of a special warranty deed does not preclude the existence of an outstanding mortgage under the original owner, Galt House LLC.

 

As Mayor Borgmeyer has failed to address, respond, or comment under oath on his financial relationship (or lack thereof) with the Katy Trail Place multifamily dwellings (townhomes), and has also failed to abstain from voting at Planning & Zoning Meetings on this project (Exhibit E) we have reason to believe he may be in violation of the St. Charles City Charter, section 4.1 - The Mayor (Exhibit F), City Code 130.240: Disclosing Private Interest In Proposed City Legislation (Exhibit G), and City Code 130.250: Conflicts of Interest (Exhibit H).
